My boyfriend is going to be at a conference in town while I am in the parks all day. I want to surprise him with Disney "treats" each night when we meet back up. Besides the pre-packaged candy and foods, what/how can I bring them back for him?

    Hi Allison,
Thanks for joining us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I absolutely LOVE Disney treats. There are so many different things to choose from while visiting not only the parks but the resorts and Downtown Disney as well.

Many of the shops have boxes you can put your treats into so you can easily bring them back to your resort. Just ask and the Cast Member filling your order can help you out. You may consider traveling with some gallon-sized zip top bags just in case. They don't take up much room and they are handy not only for food but for other things (like your cell phone on water rides).

Here are my favorites: first, cupcakes! Cupcakes are available in the theme parks, so look around at quick service locations and sweet spots to see what's available. Many times there is a seasonal cupcake available, such as Anna's Happy Birthday Cupcake (my kids and I give it two thumbs up), so be on the lookout for special treats. If the cupcakes look too big, how about a cake pop instead?

Second, chocolate and caramel apples-it's a great excuse to eat something that's a little healthy and sweet at the same time. They are awfully pretty and come in many characters; a few of our favorites include Cheshire Cat, Kermit the Frog, Sorcerer Mickey and Maleficent (bonus krispie treat horns on that one).

Finally, if you want to go all out, head over to Goofy's Candy Company in Downtown Disney and create your own krispie treat. You pick the chocolate, you pick the treats that it gets dipped in and you pick the drizzle on top. Even better-you get to watch while they make your treat right before your eyes!

Allison, I hope I've been able to make your upcoming trip a little sweeter! Enjoy!

    Best Wishes,
    Amy B.
