Hi Sharon! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.
How fun that you will be staying in a Cars-themed family suite at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort! From the colorful lobby to the larger-than-life sculptures of your favorite characters, there are lots of great photo ops for your vacation memories. One of my favorite amenities of this resort is access to
Disney Skyliner transportation. The Skyliner makes it so quick and easy to travel to
EPCOT and
Disney's Hollywood Studios!
Family suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort sleep up to 6 guests, with a separate bedroom, a table that folds down to a full-sized bed, and a sleeper sofa. They also have 2 full bathrooms, which is great for getting everyone ready in the morning. The kitchenette area has a small refrigerator, microwave, single-serve coffeemaker with coffee pods, and will have a supply of disposable cups, plates, bowls, and utensils. The last time I checked, the plates and bowls were paper. I have used them for warming up food in the past. You'll also find some plastic drinking cups, as well as foam coffee cups. If your supply needs replenishing, just give Mousekeeping a call using the button on your in-room phone.
I think it is a great idea to plan to eat breakfast in your room before heading out for the day. This is what my family does too. Such a time saver! I have used the coffeemaker in the room to heat water to make instant oatmeal, so this could be an option for you if you decide the bowls aren't suitable for microwaving. For a heartier meal, check out
Landscape of Flavors at your resort. This location offers
mobile food and beverage ordering right from the convenience of your phone using the
My Disney Experience mobile app. Often we would build our order while returning to our resort aboard the Skyliner, and then pick up our meal on the way back to our room.
Sharon, as you prepare to visit
The World's Most Magical Celebration, please send any other questions you may have our way. We are always happy to help.
