I bought two tickets to Magic Kingdom - one for me and my son my son wants to put his ticket in his phone so he can link his magic band how do we do this?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Diana!  Your Walt Disney World visit is only a few days away!  I'll be happy to assist you with your question.

The exact procedure for linking your son's ticket will depend upon where and how you purchased the tickets, as well as how you and your son have set up your My Disney Experience accounts.  I'll do my best to cover all the bases.

Your son's ticket needs to be linked to his My Disney Experience profile, whether you created a profile for him in your account or he has his own My Disney Experience account.  If you purchased your tickets on DisneyWorld.com, you may have already assigned the tickets to you and your son during the checkout process.  You can verify the tickets are linked by selecting "Tickets & Passes" in the My Disney Experience mobile app, or in "My Plans" on the website.  If your son already has an active MagicBand linked to his profile (view MagicBands under "MagicBands & Cards" in "My Profile" on the app) you are all set.  MagicBands and tickets linked to the same Guest profile will work in conjunction with each other; no additional linking is necessary.

If your son's ticket is not already linked to his profile, you can do this quickly and easily in the My Disney Experience mobile app.  Select "Link to Account" from the menu (you can also do this by selecting the "plus" button in the upper right corner of the "Tickets & Passes" page), then "Link Tickets & Passes".  Tickets can be linked by entering the ID code on the ticket or the order confirmation number, or by scanning the ticket.  If your son has a new MagicBand that needs to be linked to his profile, you'll find an option to do that under "Link to Account" as well.  If you prefer, tickets and MagicBands can also be linked on the My Disney Experience website.

I hope that helps!  If you are having any difficulty linking your tickets, feel free to send another question our way and provide additional details.  You may also give the helpful My Disney Experience team a call at (407) 939-4357.  For your convenience, I have attached this "Know Before You Go" page which outlines some of the health and safety measures being implemented during the reopening period.  If you haven't already, be sure to make your Disney Park Pass reservations right away.  All Guests will need a reservation as well as valid admission for theme park entry.

    Enjoy your visit!
