I’ve bought 3 Tier 6 tickets for Christmas Day, but I checked the weather an it’s gonna be raining really bad, so I’d like to know if we can just go on a different day?! Because when I purchased the tickets, I had to select a date. Thank yoh

Hi Melissa! Welcome to planDisney. I’m so glad you reached out, because weather worries should never put a damper on your Disney dreams, especially during the most magical time of the year. Let’s walk through your options together so you can feel confident about your plans and keep that holiday sparkle intact.

Even though you selected a specific date when purchasing your Tier 6 tickets, you’re not locked into visiting only on Christmas Day. Tickets are date based, which means they’re valid for a range of dates rather than a single use-it-or-lose-it moment. If the forecast is calling for heavy rain and you’d prefer to visit on a different day, you can absolutely adjust your plans as long as your tickets are still within their valid date range and there is reservation availability.

The easiest way to manage this is through the Disneyland app. Tap the menu button (the three horizontal lines in the lower right corner), then select My Tickets & Passes. From there, choose the ticket you’d like to modify. If your ticket is eligible, you’ll see the option to change your theme park reservation date. Follow the prompts to select a new day that works better for you. Before you finalize anything, I strongly recommend checking the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar first. It’s a quick step that can save you from accidentally releasing a reservation before confirming your preferred new date is open.

If technology decides to be a little less merry, a Cast Member can always help. Disneyland Ticket Services is happy to assist with reservation changes and ticket questions.

Now, a quick word about visiting during the holidays. The winter season at Disneyland is something truly special. Main Street, U.S.A. glows with garlands and twinkling lights, Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle sparkles after sunset, and seasonal entertainment like A Christmas Fantasy parade adds that cozy, nostalgic feeling that pairs perfectly with a cup of hot cocoa. Even if you choose a date after Christmas Day itself, you can still soak in plenty of holiday magic well into early January.

I hope this helps you feel more at ease about adjusting your plans, Melissa. If you have any more questions as you fine-tune your visit, we’re always delighted to help you plan your Disneyland adventures. Have an incredible day filled with magical moments!

Wishing you a joyful visit and plenty of holiday cheer,

    David
