Greetings, Amber, and welcome to planDisney!
Star Wars Nite is sure to be an out-of-this-world experience! With themed photos, fantastic character interactions, and a
Star Wars Nite Costume Showcase a night not to be missed. As you might already know, Amber, there are different
costume guidelines for the Disneyland After Dark events, and I suggest you read up on them before your special event. Jedis and Siths of all ages are welcome to wear their galactic finest but keep in mind that there is still a Dress Code for what will permitted.
It will be up to
Disneyland Resort Cast Members to determine if your lightsaber meets the costume guidelines. Some related to your question are:
- Costumes may not contain any weapons that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.
- Costumes may not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another Guest.
Your lightsaber sounds very similar to the ones created at
Savi's Workshop at Disneyland Park; however, it will be up to the discretion of the Cast Members on that night. Please keep in mind that if part of a costume goes against the policy, it will not be permitted inside the theme parks.
Amber, while you're there for
Star Wars Nite, I think you should check out
Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters in the
Play Disney Parks App. You will need a
MagicBand+ and the Play Disney Parks app (available for iOS or Android) before you get a bounty assignment from the job board in Galaxy's Edge. Then, watch as your MagicBand+ interacts with your surroundings in Galaxy's Edge, indicating that you are close to earning some virtual bounty. You can use the Play Disney Parks app's augmented reality thermal viewer to reveal who's lurking in the shadows. It's a fun activity for any
Star Wars fan!
I hope this information helps you plan your epic evening, Amber. May the Force Be With You!
