Hello, Rose Marie! Welcome to planDisney. I think Dory's advice is spot on- "When life gets you down, you know what you gotta do? Just keep swimming!" Speaking of swimming, Let's talk about ways to have a splash-tastic time on your trip!
If you have
Park Hopper Plus tickets and want a day off from touring the theme parks, visiting one of the
Walt Disney World Water Parks is a good option. At this time,
a park pass reservation is not required to visit a water park, so feel free to go on the day that best suits your schedule.
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park reopened just last week after being closed for several months, and I can't wait to go back!
Disney's Blizzard Beach water park is closed for refurbishment at this time, so keep that in mind if your trip is coming up soon; Disney has not announced how long the refurbishment will last, but if it is for standard maintenance, I expect it to reopen sometime in the spring.
Typhoon Lagoon is my favorite of the two water parks with its tropical paradise theme. If you visit, make time to do
Miss Adventure Falls, a raft ride perfect for the whole family. I also love the fruit-themed waterslides on the
Crush 'n' Gusher! Another must-do is to get a famous "Sand Pail" ice cream sundae from
Happy Landings, the year-round ice cream shop next to Leaning Palms.
I hope your trip goes swimmingly, Rose Marie! If you have any more questions, please feel free to write back.
Sincerely,
Eean
