I just bought tickets but would like to do a one night hotel package- is that possible?

Hello Katharine – It’s great to have your question with us at planDisney!

Staying on or close to Disneyland Resort is a fun way to vacation. If you are looking for a hotel and you already have a theme park ticket, then a hotel package wouldn’t be the best option for you since the price of a hotel package includes theme park tickets. You would be better off just booking a hotel on its own.

At or near Disneyland Resort, there are two different hotel types I would recommend:

    - Disneyland Resort Hotels: These three hotels are Disney-owned and on the Disneyland Resort property. The three options are the Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.
    - Good Neighbor Hotels: These are not owned by Disney but are Disney-approved. Most of the Good Neighbor Hotels are within comfortable walking distance of Disneyland Resort and can often be slightly more affordable.

I hope you find the right hotel that suits your needs, and if you are driving to California, make sure you consider parking costs when thinking about your hotel budget.

    Happy planning,
    Lola
