Hello Salvador!
Welcome to planDisney! I was in this same situation and so I’m so glad to be able to help answer your question. We purchased tickets in early 2020 with a plan to visit the
Disneyland Resort that June. I’m sure you can guess exactly how that went!
Disney did extend the expiration on most
Disneyland Theme Park Tickets due to the park closure, so depending on what kind of tickets you have, and when exactly you purchased, they may not have expired. Most tickets that were set to expire at the end of 2020 had their expiration date extended to December 16, 2021. But not to worry, even if they did expire, you typically don’t lose the value paid for them!
The best thing to do Salvador is to call. I know that right now, this can be challenging, as hold times can be longer than usual. You should call at EXACTLY 7 AM Pacific Time, and be prepared to wait on hold. I used my mobile phone, kept it plugged in to maintain enough battery, and set it on speaker so I could listen to the Disney music while I accomplished other things for the day. Once you get to speak with a Cast Member, they’ll be able to review your specific tickets and help you. If the tickets are not expired, the Cast Member should be able to convert them to the new type of ticket needed, and you’ll be able to make
Theme Park Reservations! This is what happened in my situation. If your tickets have expired, in most cases, the value paid for wholly unused tickets can be used to purchase new tickets that have the same or higher value. I recommend you know what days you want to visit when you call, so you can purchase your new tickets over the phone then, saving a need to call back in the future.
I hope this helps, Salvador! Sending you pixie dust for a quick and easy ticket fix!
