Hi Jon, and welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for stopping by with your question. Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just a wish away, so let's see if we can help make your Disney dreams come true.
Jon, you're right that as part of
Walt Disney World's phased reopening process, we Guests need to make Disney Park Pass reservations before we can enter a Theme Park. While you bought tickets for a specific day, they're not for a specific Theme Park, so you can actually visit any Park that has reservations open. Right now, however, with Easter and Spring Break vacations in full bloom, most of the Parks are seeing little to no availability. There is one exception, though, that I think may help us. As I look at the
Theme Park Availability Calendar, I see that April 3 is shaded in yellow because there are still reservations open for
EPCOT. Since the Park Hopper Option is back now, you could make reservations for EPCOT and then hop over to the Magic Kingdom later in the day!
Here's how it would work. Just
go to the Disney Park Pass page and follow the prompts to make your family's reservations for EPCOT. On your Park day, you must visit the Park you've reserved first. Then, when Park hopping opens at 2 p.m., so you can head over to the Magic Kingdom after that!
Do note that if you don't already have the
Park Hopper Option on your tickets, you'd need to upgrade to be allowed to hop to a second Park. Also, Park hopping is subject to capacity, but my friend and fellow
panelist Aena has been keeping an eye on Park hopping availability this week and reports that it's been mostly good news!
Jon, this is a great time for a visit to EPCOT! The
Taste of EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival is going on right now, and it's a lot of fun for the whole family. It's a nice way to spend a few hours before hitting the Magic Kingdom.
I hope I was able to help you, Jon. Fingers crossed you're able to plan a magical vacation with your family. Please come see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
