Heigh-Ho Pauline,
No matter where your Home Away From Home is you are visiting during a very exciting time,
Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary. And I am happy to help with your curiouser and curiouser inquiry. You have purchased your Walt Disney World tickets and made your Disney Park Pass reservations but how do you enter the Walt Disney World Theme Parks? Guests have three options to access their Walt Disney World tickets and gain entry into the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, a Key to the World Card, a digital pass created through the
Disney MagicMobile service or a
Disney MagicBand. All of these options are scanned at a touch point prior to entering.
Both a Key to the World Card and a digital pass are complementary options. A Key to the World card is a hard copy ticket Guests can receive by visiting a Guest Relations/Ticket counter located outside of all four Walt Disney World Theme Parks. Each card is adorned with Mickey or one of the Fab Five and can be used as your ticket throughout your entire stay. If you lose it revisit the Guest Relations/Ticket Counter to have a new one reassigned. The Disney MagicMobile service, found through your
My Disney Experience mobile app, allows Guests to create, design and share a digital pass for their Walt Disney World tickets. Guests must have an iPhone, Apple Watch or Google Pay enabled Android phone to use and access this feature. Guests can share the digital pass with others in their party if they have similar devices, more specifically those with Apple devices. And if you put your Apple device in Express Mode, you will not need to open your digital wallet every time to find the ticket.
And finally, many Guests prefer using the ever-so-popular Disney MagicBand. This is a wristband that comes in a variety of colors and designs allowing Guests to show a little more of their Disney Side. Disney MagicBands can be purchased on shopDisney or at many of the shops found all around Walt Disney World. Once purchased, they are
linked and assigned to a Guest through your My Disney Experience. Because you are so close to your arrival date, and if this is the route you would like to go, I recommend waiting until your arrival to find your practically perfect Disney MagicBand and in the meantime, using a Key to the World Card for entrance. Once you purchase a Disney MagicBand you can follow this link to link your Disney MagicBand or a Cast Member, at the location you purchased or Guest Services, can assist you with linking.
