Hey there, hi there, ho there, Sydney! Trips to Walt Disney World Resort require oodles of advance preparation, but even the best-laid plans sometimes need a detour. I'm glad to hEAR you're still planning to visit the Mouse soon. Let's go over the details on how to modify your tickets.
If you purchased your
theme park tickets directly from Disney (and the ticket is not a promotional offer that disallows changes), then yes,
the tickets can be changed before first use. If, however, you bought your tickets from a third-party, then the changes will have to be discussed with the seller.
Once a ticket is linked to your
My Disney Experience account, most changes that can be made online are possible through the 'Change Ticket' link visible under the 'Tickets & Memory Maker' tab on the Plans & Tickets page. If you don't see this option, then your best bet is to call the Ticketing Center at (407) 566-4985. Just keep in mind that if the ticket is changed to a higher-priced date, you'll have to pay the difference in price; and unfortunately, there will be no refunds for changes to lower-priced dates. Also, if modifications are needed after the ticket's original start date, then you'll need to visit any ticket or
Guest Relations window at Walt Disney World Resort.
One of the exceptions to this rule is military tickets. Since they are sold on military bases or at the Parks themselves, these tickets cannot be changed on My Disney Experience.
Special Event Tickets also require a call to change (e.g.,
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party,
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party,
Disney After Hours, etc.).
I hope this helps, Sydney! If there's anything else we can do, remember we're all EARs!
