Alan from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I bought a ticket and made a reservation. I then cancelled the reservation, desiring to change the date. It doesn’t allow me to reserve for a different date.

    Bippidi-Boppidi-Boo, Alan!

Welcome to planDisney, where we believe that a dream is a wish your heart makes, and we love helping Guests like you make their Disney vacation dreams come true! I wish that I could wave a magic wand to secure your theme park reservations for you to visit Disneyland Resort, but the Fairy Godmother never loans hers out, so we’ll have to settle for some guidance and troubleshooting instead.

Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are reopening with significantly limited capacity to comply with governmental requirements and promote physical distancing. All Guests will be required to obtain a theme park reservation through the new theme park reservation system in advance. At this time, only California residents may visit the parks, and proof of residency may be required.

It sounds like you already have the hang of making theme park reservations on the new system, so let me see if I can figure out why we can’t get the glass slipper to fit on the new date you are trying to reserve. One possibility is that the date you are seeking does not currently have availability. You can check the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar to see the availability of the date you desire. Another possibility is that the date you are seeking is not available for theme park reservations just yet. Theme park reservations are available around 60 days in advance at this time, so it could be possible that you will have to wait until the date you desire opens for theme park reservations. If this is the case, I highly recommend that you continue to check the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar as the date gets closer to the 60-day mark.

Theme park tickets may be used on different dates, depending on the type of ticket purchased, seasonal, or tier. It may be the date you are seeking is not available for your particular ticket type. You can see a list of theme park ticket types and blockout dates on this Help with Tickets – Frequently Asked Questions page. If the ticket you purchased does not allow park entry on the date you are seeking, you will first need to modify, upgrade, or change your theme park ticket to match the date you want a theme park reservation. You may be able to make the necessary changes to your theme park ticket in your Disney account. You can also reach out to a Cast Member for further assistance by calling (714) 781-4636.

I hope this information helps you to make the theme park reservations you desire! Have a magical visit to Disneyland Resort, Alan, and please stop back by if we can help answer any more of your vacation questions.
