Hi We bought the Star Wars nite tickets for may 4th. Does this mean we can only come in at the Disneyland park at 6pm or do we have to pay the general Disneyland park ticket too to enter? Because we only bought the may 4th Star Wars nite tickets

Hello there, Jae! Welcome to planDisney. As a fellow wielder of the Force, I, too, will be attending Star Wars Nite, and I can’t wait to experience all the galactic adventures awaiting us in a galaxy far, far away.

Unfortunately, your special event ticket grants entry to Disneyland only three hours before the event begins. Speaking from experience as a seasoned traveler of Star Wars Nite, I can assure you that this window provides plenty of time to enter the park, pick up your event credentials, and settle in before the festivities officially kick off at 9:00 PM. However, if you’d like to explore Disneyland or Disney California Adventure earlier in the day, you would need to purchase a separate theme park ticket.

If you do decide to visit Disneyland beforehand, you’re in for a real treat: the park will be celebrating Seasons of the Force! This galactic gathering unites fans from across the stars with themed food and beverages, limited-time entertainment, and exclusive merchandise. One of the standout experiences is the Fire of the Rising Moons nighttime display, featuring stunning projection effects in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. It’s an immersive spectacle even a Jedi Master would find impressive! And for those who dream of high-speed space battles, Hyperspace Mountain is making its triumphant return, putting you right in the middle of an exhilarating X-Wing skirmish over Jakku. Just stay sharp! One never knows when a trap might be lurking….

Since you’ll be attending Star Wars Nite, Jae, I have a few Jedi-tested strategies to make the most of your experience. Character encounters and immersive photo ops are among the most legendary highlights of the event. Last year, guests had the chance to capture a moment with Han Solo encased in carbonite, while over in Galaxy’s Edge, Hera and Chopper from Star Wars Rebels were on patrol, greeting visitors. A particularly unforgettable moment has been the chance to meet Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and R2-D2 together, a trio that would make any Rebel’s heart soar. And if you seek royalty, Queen Amidala is an absolute must-see. You might even be lucky enough to cross paths with her Jedi protector, who, as we all know, has a strong opinion about sand. These rare encounters are more elusive than a Jedi in exile, so be sure to seize the opportunity!

I hope this helps as you prepare for your galactic adventure, Jae. If you have any other questions about Star Wars Nite or exploring Disneyland during Seasons of the Force, feel free to reach out to me or any of my fellow panelists here at planDisney.

May the Force be with you!
