I bought my son’s ticket, he is 9, but our travel arrangements are still being changed by the airlines due to lack of passangers. What happens if when we travel my son turns 10?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Erijane! You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney!

I could not be happier to see that the magic is calling you, and you are answering the call by planning a magical family adventure at The Most Magical Place on Earth. My family and I spent my daughter's 10th birthday at Walt Disney World Resort a few months ago, and what a magical and oh-so-fun birthday it was! I am so excited for you to have such an unforgettable upcoming adventure and birthday celebration. While it's less than magical to hear that your plans keep unexpectedly changing, Hakuna Matata! It means "no worries." I'm more than happy to help!

If your plans get pushed out far enough that your son turns ten years old and will need an adult theme park ticket, you might be able to change his ticket online as easily as bibbidi ... bobbidi ... boo. Just log into your My Disney Experience account, hover over the "My Disney Experience" tab and click "My Plans." Then, click the blue "Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker" link and find your son's ticket. You will see a "Change" button if his ticket is eligible for modification. Click "Change" to upgrade his ticket to an adult ticket and pay the price difference.

If you are unable to change your son's ticket online, I recommend calling a helpful Cast Member or stopping by a Guest Relations location outside of each theme park or in Disney Springs. Just be sure to bring your party's ticket information and your photo ID. Since your son is a little Mouseketeer, he will not require a photo ID or proof of age. Let the magic begin!

Erijane, if your trip dates change, don't forget to change your Theme Park Reservations! These reservations are still required for every Guest to enter all four theme parks, so this is a planning step you definitely don't want to skip.

I hope this helps, Erijane, and I hope your son has the very best birthday! Please feel free to stop by any time with any questions you have. Did you know that planDisney also answers questions in Portuguese? You've got a friend in planDisney!

    See ya real soon!
