I wish I had better news to report, but you won’t be able to reuse your refillable mug from 2022 on your upcoming trip. Once a refillable mug is first activated, the RFID chip is only good for 14 days. At the end of that time period, it deactivates and cannot be reactivated. I know that’s not what you were hoping to hear, but look on the bright side! The designs on the refillable mugs change from time to time, so if you purchase another mug for this trip, there’s a good chance you’ll have a new design to take home with you. After all, you can never have enough Disney mugs!
If you want a fun souvenir that you can reuse on subsequent trips, I suggest purchasing one of the special
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival Disney Gift Cards. Not only are they adorable with their unique festival designs, they’re practical too! They’re attached to a wristband, which makes them easy to use but difficult to lose!
