If I bought a pass but also had a 3 day park hopper ticket can I still add my ticket that hasn’t expired to get difference taken from my pass

Nancy, if you’ve already purchased your Magic Key pass, you won't be able to apply the value of the 3-Day Park Hopper Ticket toward your pass.

There are certain conditions under which you can upgrade an eligible theme park ticket to a Magic Key pass. First, it can only be done when a Magic Key pass is purchased. One-day tickets must be upgraded by midnight on the day you visit, and multi-day tickets must be upgraded before midnight on the last day the ticket is valid. Once a ticket is fully used, it cannot be upgraded.

That said, you have a few options when it comes to how you use your 3-Day Park Hopper Ticket.

    • If you've already used one or more days on the ticket, you will need to use the remaining days before it expires. If the ticket is fully unused, you may be able to gift it to a friend. Just keep in mind that, if it's the CA Resident Park Hopper Ticket, whoever uses it must live in an eligible ZIP code. Also, per the eTicket Terms and Conditions, tickets can't be sold. You can contact the Tickets phone line to speak with a Cast Member about changing the name on your ticket.
    • You could use the 3-Day Ticket yourself before it expires. Just treat it as three extra reservations you can make. You can use your Magic Key to reserve popular dates in the coming weeks or months.
    • In many cases, the amount paid for a wholly unused, expired theme park ticket (except special event tickets) may be applied towards the purchase of a new theme park ticket of equal or greater value. That means that, even if your current 3-Day Ticket expires, you could still use it to get a different ticket in the future. Maybe you could purchase a ticket for a friend, or keep it to use after your Magic Key expires.
Nancy, I know that was a lot of information. I hope it is helpful to you as you evaluate your options. Have a fantastic year as a Magic Key holder! If you think of any other questions, you know where to find us.
