Oh boy, Lisa! Mickey and I are happy to hear that you're planning a Disneyland trip this summer. The end of August is a great time to visit, just as summer is winding down and the local kids head back to school. Here's a planDisney tip: the days will be hot, but it tends to be cooler in the morning and evening, so pack at least one lightweight jacket or sweatshirt.
When booking a
Disneyland Resort Hotel Vacation Package, you have to link the booking number to your Disneyland account under "My Hotel Reservations," which it sounds like you already did correctly. Once that step is done, you should be able to make
theme park reservations within a 120-day rolling window; the system will recognize your tickets even though you cannot view those yet.
When the tickets are viewable 4 days before arrival, you link those numbers to your
Disneyland Mobile App to show the Cast Members at the turnstiles for park entry. I suspect that when you wrote to us several days ago, your 120-day window wasn't fully available yet, but it should be now. If you get a blank page when trying to make your park reservations, try using a Chrome incognito window. Once you are successful, you will get a park reservation confirmation email. Call the
Vacation Packages hotline at (714) 520-5060 if you need any assistance.
Lisa, by the time of your trip, all of the nighttime spectaculars have returned to Disneyland Resort, including the
Main Street Electrical Parade,
Fantasmic! and the iconic
Disneyland Forever fireworks show. However, being an East Coast gal, my favorite is
World of Color because there is no counterpart at Walt Disney World Resort. If you want to splurge a little, consider booking a
World of Color Dessert Party, which offers seated viewing for the show. You can make your reservation up to 60 days in advance, so mark it on your calendar. Treat yourself to some salted caramel cheesecake and champagne while you watch- it doesn't get any better than that!
Have a magical time!
