Hi Cheryl, and welcome to planDisney. With the
70th Celebration going on, it's such an exciting time to unlock a whole year of magic!
I’m happy to share that you can upgrade your
Magic Key as long as the pass you want is available for new sales. At the time I’m writing this, the Inspire Key Pass is available, however this can change at any time. So I’d recommend getting to Disneyland as soon as possible to upgrade your pass (I mean, who doesn’t need another excuse to visit Disneyland?!). Since you’re outside of your renewal window (30 days before your pass expires), you’ll need to upgrade in person at the Main Entrance ticket booths between Disneyland Park and California Adventure Park. And, just a heads up, you’ll need to pay the difference between the Imagine and Inspire Keys when you upgrade. Your expiration date will remain the same.
The Inspire Key will help you maximize the magic with more theme park reservations, higher discounts, included parking, and fewer blockout dates! To see all of your new benefits, take a look at the
Compare Magic Key Passes chart. It’ll feel like you suddenly got a whole lot more pixie dust!
And, speaking of pixie dust, be sure to keep an eye on the
Magic Key Benefits page for the latest perks. Right now you can pick up a
complimentary Paint the Night poster at the Hyperion Theater Courtyard through June 2, 2025. There’s also a special
70th Celebration Magic Key Insulated Cooler Bag available to purchase at certain popcorn carts. It reminds me of the popcorn holders you can get at Tokyo Disney Resort, so it’s really cool to see a version here at Disneyland for the anniversary.
I’m wishing you many magical visits in the year ahead! If you have any other questions, you're always welcome at planDisney.
