Hello, I bought 3 Military Salute MYW tickets for my two children and my spouse. I will not be accompanying them to the park. Do the tickets have to be activated on site before use? Do I have to be present and show my ID when they enter the park? Thank you

Welcome to planDisney, Li-Wei! First, thank you sincerely for your service, and I'm so glad you've taken advantage of the Military Salute Ticket offer at Walt Disney World Resort. My husband spent some time in the military, so I understand the sacrifices you and your family make; you all deserve some pixie dust! Your wife and children are arriving soon, so let's see how you can activate those Theme Park Tickets.

According to the Offer Details for the Military Salute tickets, the spouse of the active or retired military member can activate those tickets at the Guest Relations window at any of the four theme parks before their first entry. So you do not have to be present, Li-Wei, as long as your wife can present her valid military ID.

Before heading to the parks, your wife can also activate those tickets at the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. I activated my Annual Pass there recently, and it's a short distance from Gideon's Bakehouse. So tell your family to join the virtual queue at Gideon's first, then take care of their tickets. They'll get a text when it's their turn to return to the bakery. Bonus tip: Tell them to try my favorite, the Peanut Butter Crunch Cookie. It's nearly a half pound of sweet, crunchy, peanutty goodness!

Thanks again for your service, Li-Wei, and I hope your family has a magical time on their upcoming visit. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
