Hi Laura! What a great opportunity your granddaughter has to experience such a magical place with you! My parents decided to join us during our Walt Disney World Resort vacation last year, and I am so glad I had purchased Memory Maker beforehand. Our daughters love to look back over all the PhotoPass pictures and talk about all the fun things they did with their grandparents.
Don’t worry, as the holder of the Memory Maker entitlement, you do not have to be in every picture. You just simply need to have the PhotoPass photographer scan your MagicBand after the pictures are taken to be sure that they link to your Memory Maker account. If you do not have a MagicBand, the photographer can scan your park ticket or give you a
PhotoPass Card to later link to your Memory Maker. Just to make sure things flow smoothly, I would double check
My Disney Experience before the trip to make sure all park tickets, Magic Bands and Memory Maker are linked to your account.
While you may not want to be in your granddaughter’s pictures with Anna and Elsa, I do want to encourage you to take as many pictures as possible with her. You both will always treasure those memories, and there are so many great places to take family photos, especially in front of icons like Cinderella Castle and Spaceship Earth. There are also fun
Magic Shots that you can take with her, such as a fun one I took in Disney’s Animal Kingdom with my daughter. When I pulled up our pictures after we got home, I discovered that Sven from "Frozen" had magically appeared in our scene!
I hope you have a great trip with your granddaughter, and please let me know if you have any further questions.
