We bought Magic band+ for my daughter. We linked it in MDE, but we are having trouble figuring out how they link to Play Disney. My daughter made a Play account but the statues do not show up in her app when she waves at them and they talk back. Advice?

Hey there, hi there, ho there! You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney, Aimee! Thank you for allowing us to help you!

I bet your daughter is thrilled to have the MagicBand+! I love that it still has the familiar capabilities of the previous versions and includes some fun interactive features that will enhance your park experience. One of my favorite things is the Disney Fab 50 Quest scavenger hunt game that can be played across all four of the Walt Disney World Resort parks using the Play Disney Parks app!

I tested out the MagicBand+ during my trip last month and experienced some connectivity issues, so I'm happy to share a few things I learned from talking with the Guest Experience Team (if you're in the parks, you can spot these Cast Members by looking for the kiosks with the blue umbrellas):
*First, open up your My Disney Experience app and tap the Magic Bands and More icon.
*Next, try turning the Bluetooth off your phone.
*On the back of your MagicBand+, you'll notice a small button. Press it for 6 seconds to turn it off. The band will buzz twice and then power off. Turn your Bluetooth back on, and then press and hold the same button to turn it back on.
*Press reconnect on My Disney Experience.

If that doesn't work, you may need to uninstall the Play Disney Parks app and re-install it. Also, double-check that your login in matches the one for your My Disney Experience account. If they don't match, that could be why you are having connectivity problems. Lastly, ensure that your phone's Location Services are on (Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services). Call the Internet Help Desk at (407) 939-4357 if you need more assistance.

Once your daughter has conquered the Fab 50 Quest, she'll want to move on to Batuu Bounty Hunter! You start at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, where you're assigned a bounty mission. While on the hunt, your MagicBand+ will pulse green as you get closer and red if you move further away as you explore.

Hopefully, these troubleshooting tips help, Aimee! Please stop back and see us again real soon!
