I bought an inspire magic key for my son who is an adult. I live in Southern Cali and will be doing payments. But, on the magic key guest information I put his name with my address, even though he lives in AZ. Can he use his AZ ID when activating the key?

    Hi Juan!

Welcome to planDisney! As a longtime Magic Key holder, I’ve had the joy of unlocking so many enchanting benefits, and I completely understand why you’d want to gift that magic to your son. Let’s dive into your question!

Payment plans for Magic Key passes are available to California residents living within ZIP codes 90000–96199. I spoke with Myrna, a helpful Cast Member, who confirmed that as long as you’re the one making the payments and you reside within those ZIP codes, you can take advantage of the payment plan. Meanwhile, your son can use his Arizona identification to activate his Magic Key with no trouble at all. Talk about a fairy tale ending!

If you decide to welcome your son into the Magic Key family, he’ll be in for some fantastic perks. For instance, during the Lunar New Year Festival at Disney California Adventure, Magic Key holders can enjoy a discount on the Sip and Savor Pass. My wife and I indulged in so many tasty treats a few weeks back, and I’m still dreaming about that quesabirria egg roll. It was incredibly delicious! Plus, don’t miss out on the exclusive Magic Key-branded Lunar New Year-themed T-shirts and pins. And, of course, the year-round discounts on merchandise and dining (which vary by Magic Key tier) are the kind of pixie-dusted perks that make every visit even sweeter.

Speaking of magic, Juan, have you seen the 2025 Disneyland Resort Event Calendar on the Disney Parks Blog? It’s packed with exciting celebrations! This March and April, Disney California Adventure will host the always-delicious Food & Wine Festival! Then, in May, Disneyland kicks off its dazzling 70th Anniversary celebration. Imagine the park shimmering as it celebrates seven decades of making dreams come true. Now that’s a happily ever after worth experiencing!

I hope this information helps, Juan! If you have any more questions about the Magic Key program or planning a Disneyland adventure, please visit us again here at planDisney!

    Wishing you a magical day!
