Hi there, Malia! Welcome to planDisney, and congratulations on the purchase of your new house. You've got so much to celebrate!
I love that you want to make use of the special
Southern California Resident Ticket Offer at Disneyland Resort. However, a Cast Member recently confirmed during a chat that there is no substitution for a government-issued photo ID with a qualifying address. To use the ticket for admission, you will need a government-issued photo ID with your Southern California address. Unfortunately, Lease agreements, bank statements, utility bills, and student IDs are not an accepted substitute. I'm sorry if this isn't what you hoped to hear! Hopefully, there is enough time between now and when the tickets expire on May 15, 2025, to get a new license.
Malia, I'm not sure if you've heard but
Magic Key Passes are back on sale, as of this week. This would be another option in case you want to extend the magic to a full year. There are four levels of passes - with one that is exclusively for SoCal residents living in zip codes 90000 to 93599 - and there is one sure to suit your needs! With discounts, periodic giveaways, and access to exclusive merchandise, my family loves our Magic Keys!
Lastly, I want to mention that the
Disney Parks Blog released the 2025 Event Calendar, and there is so much magic in store this year at the Disneyland Resort.
Lunar New Year at Disney California Adventure Park started a week ago, and it's one of my favorite events of the year. There is nothing better than celebrating the Year of the Snake with "Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession” and tasty foods from the Lunar New Year Marketplace!
Malia, thank you so much for stopping by. Please visit again if we can help with any other Disney planning questions!
See you in the parks,
Melissa
