    I bought an R Droid at Disney World Droid Depot on July 27, and 4 days later the head stopped working. I have tried replacing the batteries and re-pairing the remote, as well as taking the head off and putting it back on, but the head still won’t turn.

    Kelly, you've just returned from a galaxy far, far away! It sounds like while you were in Black Spire Outpost in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge you were able to create your own little droid friend to accompany you on your adventures. I've always wanted to build an astromech unit from Droid Depot and this is at the top of my bucket list on my next adventure to planet Batuu!

    However, I hear that your droid isn't currently operating at full capacity. The First Order must have been involved! I would love to help you troubleshoot your little sidekick so you can continue to fight for the light side of the Force, like the excellent Jedi that you are.

    • The Force has been guiding you in the right direction. My first pieces of advice were going to be to replace the batteries, repair the remote, and remove the head before putting it back on. Since your droid is still unable to fully turn his head, let's try a few more options.
    • When the head is removed, make sure that there is no dust or debris inhibiting the connectors inside the unit. Also, check to see if there are any loose cables that need to be reconnected.
    • When using the remote, try holding down the button for an extra second or two to see if that can motivate the correct head motion from your droid.
    • When pushing the button, try to manually move the head in the correct direction to see if that unlocks what is currently stuck.
    • If you've tried the above steps without success, I would recommend reaching out to a Merchandise Guest Services Cast Member at 1-800-328-0327 (don't worry, they're a part of the Resistance!). They will be happy to walk you through the next steps that are available to you!
