Hi Jordan,
Welcome to planDisney! There is so much to do at Disney World that guests adding an extra day to their tickets is a common occurrence. You have a few options for upgrading your ticket. The only caveat to this is that you must
upgrade or change your ticket before it is completely used.
The easiest way to upgrade your ticket is in the
My Disney Experience app. Once you have downloaded and opened the My Disney Experience app, click the three stacked lines in the bottom right corner and choose "My Tickets and Passes." Navigate to the ticket you want to upgrade and select the option underneath it to "Change." Follow the prompts to upgrade your ticket by adding an additional day of fun or adding the Park Hopper Option. You will pay the difference between your new ticket and the original ticket you purchased during checkout. It is typically much less than if you purchased a one-day pass.
If your tickets were purchased as part of a Disney Vacation Package, you will need to modify the whole reservation even if you only want to edit your tickets. You can still complete this process in your My Disney Account! All you need to do is log in, navigate to your reservation, and choose the "Change Reservation" option. Scroll down to the Theme Park Tickets section and click the "Change" button to add an additional day to your tickets.
If you are already on-site and cannot modify a package easily online or may feel uncomfortable making changes to your trip there is also someone there to help. You can stop by
Guest Services at the front of any of Disney's theme parks and a friendly cast member will upgrade your tickets and charge you for the difference. It is a super quick process and will only take a few moments out of your day!
Happy Planning,
Jenna
