Hi Nichole, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! I’m so sorry to hear that you were in the hospital and hope that you’re doing better now. I’m sending all the healing vibes your way!
Now, let’s figure out what you can do with your ticket. Theme park tickets purchased through
Disneyland Resort do have an expiration date. For instance, last week I bought a 1-Day Tier 4 ticket that expires on December 30, 2026 (I found this date towards the bottom of my email confirmation). If your ticket has expired, Hakuna Matata! In most cases,
the amount paid for a wholly unused, expired ticket can be applied towards the purchase of a new ticket as long as the new price is equal or greater than the amount paid for your original ticket. There are some tickets that this doesn’t apply to, like special event tickets, so a Cast Member I spoke to recommended calling the
Tickets phone number to confirm your options.
I know that it must have been a bummer to miss your trip, but this year is such an exciting time to visit Disneyland with the
70th anniversary festivities starting on May 16th! I’m most looking forward to all the new and returning entertainment like the
Paint the Night Parade,
Wondrous Journeys, and
World of Color Happiness! One of my favorite attractions,
Toy Story Midway Mania!, is getting lots of 70th-inspired “Easter eggs” throughout the ride to celebrate the occasion. I can’t wait to discover all of the little surprises! There are also many special promotions happening for the 70th anniversary, so you may want to check out the Offers & Discounts page to save on your resort hotel stay.
I’m wishing you a happy and healthy trip to Disneyland this year! And if you have any other questions, we’d love to have you back at planDisney.
JoAnna
