Well hello, Grace! Welcome to planDisney. You've definitely come to the right place to ask your question.
So, I just recently entered my second year of being an
Annual Passholder at the
Walt Disney World Resort. And I have to say, it's everything I imagined it would be. For the amount I visit, it's a great value, and I enjoy the
perks and discounts that come along with it. But mostly, what I really love, is the flexibility of it. While
Theme Park Reservations are typically still required for me to visit a park, as long as I plan ahead, I usually find availability. And before having my pass, I wouldn't always buy a ticket for my arrival day or my departure day because I wasn't getting a full day's worth out of my ticket. But now, if I want to pop into a park, as long as I have a reservation (or it's a
Good-to-Go Day or after 2 p.m. except
Magic Kingdom Park on the weekends), I just pop in for a little bit. Have an afternoon flight? Stop by the parks in the morning before you leave. It really is magical!
Currently, you can
upgrade an eligible ticket to an Annual Pass before or during your visit. If you have a 1-Day Ticket, the latest you can upgrade it is on the day you use the ticket. If it's a Multi-Day Ticket, you can upgrade it until the last day of use. You can do this through the
My Disney Experience mobile app, by visiting a ticket window or
Guest Relations location outside of the theme parks, or by visiting the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs.
Grace, I hope that you enjoy the many benefits of being an
Annual Passholder. But mostly, I hope that, like me, it encourages you to slow down a little bit, take in all the magic around you, and helps you enjoy the parks in a whole new way.
I'm here if you have any other questions.
You can fly,
Matt
