    If I bought date based Disney tickets from an Authorized Retailer for use DEC/2019, can I upgrade now to an AP? When does the upgraded AP become activated, as I'm not intending to go before Dec, and want to get the most use out of the AP?

    Hi Ashley!  Thank you for bringing your question about Walt Disney World Annual Passes to the Moms Panel.

    Becoming an Annual Passholder certainly has its perks!  In addition to an entire year of Walt Disney World Theme Park admission, Passholders are eligible for dining and merchandise discounts, special offers for Resort Hotel stays, complimentary Theme Park parking, and downloads of Disney PhotoPass photos.

    Upgrading your previously purchased tickets to Annual Passes must be done in person at Guest Relations.  If you decide to upgrade your current tickets to Annual Passes before using a day for admission, your Annual Pass will be activated at the time of the upgrade. If you upgrade after using your ticket to enter a Theme Park, the start date of your Annual Pass will be the date you first used your ticket for admission.  Any upgrades must be done while valid admission still remains on the ticket.  The process is simple; basically you will pay the difference in cost between the tickets you hold and the cost of the Annual Passes.
