I've bought the basic dining plan and know that gratuities aren't included. However, I'm trying to figure out which restaurants that I would tip at. Do I tip @ counter service restaurants or just table service and buffett?

You would only need to tip at table service meals -- both buffet and menu based. These meals have a waiter who is providing you service: bringing drinks, clearing plates, etc. The waiter should be tipped for this work.

At counter service meals there is no waiter involved, thus no need to tip. Counter service meals are more like fast food meals (only the food is better). You walk up to a window, order your food, get your meal on a tray, walk it yourself to a table, and bus your own tray when you're done.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any additional questions.
