    We just bought AP for our next trip. I am planning on going to Hoop-dee-doo for Dinner the first night. Do I have to activate my pass before going for Dinner, in order to receive AP Discount? We aren't going to have much time to waste.

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sue! Thanks so much for bringing another great question to us. One of our favorite places to spend an evening while at Walt Disney World Resort is at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. This dinner show is a rip-roaring good time perfect for the entire family. Plus, the barbeque ribs are delish! I think my older daughter seriously ate a while bucket herself the last time we went!

    There are so many great benefits to being an Annual Passholder - room discounts, merchandise discounts, dining discounts, oh my! You will need to activate your Annual Pass before you can access most of the benefits, as you will need to show verification of eligibility for benefits. When you activate the pass, you will be given an Annual Passholder card that you can present for verification. Cast Members will always ask for identification when using your Annual Passholder discount, so make sure you keep a government-issued photo ID on you. You can activate your Annual Pass at any theme park ticket window or Guest Relations location. You could easily complete this at the Magic Kingdom Park ticket window and then take the water ferry over to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground for your evening at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue.

    Sue, have you booked your Walt Disney World Resort room yet? There are some fantastic room discounts offered to Annual Passholders! Your Annual Pass does not need to be activated to book the room with the discount. You may be asked to just stop by the front desk at some point during your stay to let them verify that it has been activated and you are eligible for the discount.
