Hi, we bought 2 Annual Passports in October of 2021, we are Florida residents. We have not used them yet. Does the effective year start on the day of first use or the day of purchase? Thank you

Welcome to planDisney, Richard! You're sure to have an upcoming year of magic when you become a Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholder! No matter which option you've got in your pocket (or really, in your My Disney Experience account!), you're tuned into passholder events, discounted rates on select hotel stays and a percentage off of select dining and merchandise!  These and other perks will sprinkle pixie dust over you for 365 days!

Richard, I'm happy to let you know that even though you purchased your Annual Pass in October, your year of magic doesn't start until you activate your pass at Guest Relations on your first visit to the parks! Stopping by Guest Relations will be quick, just make sure you bring your photo ID and that your Annual Pass is linked to your My Disney Experience account.

Since you have an entire year to play, I suggest taking advantage of what the parks have to offer throughout the changing of the seasons! Spring at EPCOT blooms with the International Flower and Garden Festival, and the beauty of the holidays shines through during winter months.    Remember, you're in for the most magical experience yet as you enjoy the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney Richard, and I hope you enjoy all the benefits of becoming a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder!

Meet the Panelist: Ashley, Massachusetts

Hi All, I'm Ashley! From the very beginning Walt Disney World Resort has always been a part of my life. As a child I excitedly helped to plan family trips, as a young adult I planned our "happily ever after" right on Disney property, and now I'm lucky enough to plan magical vacations for my three incredible children. When we're not taking in the enchanting experiences of the parks, we're home in Massachusetts, probably planning our next trip! Learn More About Ashley
