Hi Shirley,
With the warm Florida sunshine, it's definitely important to stay well-hydrated on a Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
I'm happy to let you know that yes, you are definitely welcome to bring bottled water with you into the theme parks. Guests are able to
bring food and drinks into the parks, so feel free to pack whatever you need to stay hydrated and keep your tumbly from getting rumbly like Winnie the Pooh's. Backpacks are welcome, too, and if you'd like, there are
lockers available to rent at each theme park if you don't want to have to carry one around all day. You will need to go through a security checkpoint when you arrive and all of your bags will be searched, but with a few
exceptions (like no glass bottles or alcoholic beverages), your drinks will be no problem! Did you know, too, that complimentary ice waters are available at all food and beverage locations? My family likes to bring refillable water bottles with us and use the numerous drinking fountains or ice water cups to refill them. One other tip...We also like to bring powdered drink packets with us to add a bit of flavor to the water.
Of course, there are some
delicious drinks that I'd definitely encourage you to try, too. Two of my favorites are the Frozen Mint Julep Lemonade at
Casey's Corner and LeFou's Brew at
Gaston's Tavern, both in Magic Kingdom Park. Mmm...my mouth is watering just thinking about them! So cool and refreshing!
I'm so glad that you stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your important question, Shirley, and please feel free to come back and see us again if we can help with anything else. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
