    After booking a vacation at a value resort, I received an email telling me I could get a free upgrade to Sarasota Springs or Old Key West Resorts. I'm leary of an offer like this and don't know if either place would be better than ASM for our 4 yr old.

    Sounds like you and I received the same exciting email offer. Let me tell you, this is a GREAT offer and in all my trips to Disney World, I had never received this deal before so it is something to take advantage of if you can.

    Both Saratoga Springs and Old Key West are part of Disney's Vacation Club properties and are beautiful resorts with fantastic amenities. The rooms are spacious and a definite upgrade over the value properties like All Star Music. The properties are quite large and spread out, but in all honesty so are the All Star properties. Both locations offer great pools, arcades, and gift shops. We just stayed at Saratoga Springs with our boys, including a five year old at the time, and they loved the resort. We were right across the river from Downtown Disney and they loved watching the boats head down the river and the lights and activity at Downtown Disney. You can request a room near the main building however there are also buses you can take from your building to the main area. We actually enjoyed the walk and the boys never complained as there was so much to look at.

    Anyway you look at it, I personally think it is a great offer and a fantastic upgrade at no additional cost to you. I would call fast though as there is a limited number and I know many dates are already gone. I waited just a bit to long and missed out-hope you are able to take advantage of the offer.
