Hi, I have a booking for Port Orleans Riverside for 7th August 2020 for 3 weeks but they haven’t confirmed if they are opening. What will happen to our booking? Will we be transferred to another hotel? Thanks

    ChEARs Lynsey,

Thanks for crossing the pond to us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Life has thrown a bit of a "Stitch" in our plans, hasn't it?? But, I'm so glad that we are moving closer to our whole new world at the Walt Disney World Resort!

My husband is Scottish, and all of his family live in the U.K. When they come to visit us (let's be honest, they really come to visit Walt Disney World!), they book vacations that are very similar to yours. We usually get them for 3-4 weeks at a time; they love the heat,  we love seeing our family for an extended period! But it looks like you are about to be one of our pixie-dusted Guests who get are going to have a magical transformation with their hotel stay. Since you are visiting us after July 10th, you can request modification assistance now if you booked through Disney directly. If you booked through a 3rd party, you would need to contact your travel professional.

Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is currently not slated to open, but the situation is monitored continuously, and that could change. That being said, you should receive an email soon regarding your upcoming stay. The email will contain a link where you can review your options regarding your reservation. Among the options is to modify your booking if your hotel is closed during your scheduled visit. Once you choose that option, Disney will validate your selection (verify your reservation, and verify that your reserved Resort is closed), and provide the next steps.

Lynsey, even though you may not have the chance to sample the beignets at the Resort (my favorite Disney snack!), I am sure that your stay will be magical regardless of which Resort you end up at!
