Booking POR late September/early October, 10 days and I have a question regarding the buildings. Can you please tell me which buildings offer a "River" view. I was thinking of requesting building 85, Magnolia. (I realize there is no guarantee). T

    Hi Roxanne,

Congratulations on your upcoming vacation!  I was excited to see your question, because I just returned this morning from a weekend stay at Port Orleans - Riverside.  I just love the tranquility and sweet Southern hospitality at this resort, so I think you've made a great choice.

One of the charms of Riverside is the Sassagoula River, which winds right through the property.  Quite a few buildings offer rooms with a River View, including Alligator Bayou buildings 14, 27 and 28, as well as all the mansion buildings in Magnolia Bend.  I think your choice of the Magnolia building would offer you a fantastic location since it's so close to everything - the food court, shops, lobby, a bus depot and pools on Ol' Man Island.  Although there's never a guarantee when you make a room request, I know the Cast Members work hard to make every guest happy.  For that reason, I'd also recommend adding a note about your priorities, such as a mansion building or proximity to the lobby, which can be helpful with your room assignment if your first choice is not available.

Wishing you pixie-dusted planning and a most magical vacation!
