When booking a package through Disney, how do you add on or switch one of your base park tickets to a park hopper ticket? And how, when you go to enter a park (and then the second one later that day) do you ensure the park hopper ticket is used?

Hi, Lindsey! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for stopping by with your question. There are some days when we are visiting Walt Disney World Resort when I just want to stay in the same park all day and enjoy all of the magical moments. Some days I want to hop around and visit another park in the evening, especially during the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. We love to stop by that park every night when it is hosting a festival so we can eat and drink our way around the world for dinner. The Park Hopper option on our Disney Theme Park Tickets helps us be flexible during our trips. If we decide at any time that the pixie dust may be leading us elsewhere, then off we go!

When you add on the Park Hopper option to your Disney Theme Park Ticket, that option will be applied to all of the days that your ticket covers. Just to clarify - if you purchase a 4-Day ticket, then you will have one ticket in your account that can be used on any four days within a seven-day span, beginning with the date you indicated when purchasing it. There will not be four separate 1-Day tickets in your account. So, adding on that Park Hopper option will cover all four admission days of the ticket, not just one specific day's admission.

If you start off at one park, say Epcot, and then later decide to check out Disney's Hollywood Studios, then you will just scan that same ticket card or your linked MagicBand. The system will automatically link to the same ticket it used that morning and it will verify that you do have the Park Hopper option added.

Some tickets can be modified online to add the Park Hopper option. Simply go to My Plans, click the tab for Tickets & Memory Maker, and locate your Disney Theme Park Ticket. It should indicate there if it can be modified. If not, just give the Existing Tickets line a call and a Cast Member will assist you with modifying the ticket.

Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions.
