Hiya, Jennifer, and welcome to planDisney! From one Jennifer to another, I'm so excited that you've stopped by with this great question about planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation! If you're looking for advice about booking a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, you have a friend in me.
Jennifer, I also love to travel with my large extended family. Some years, this means we're booking quite a few separate rooms, and it's best to plan as far ahead as possible. The first step is deciding on the dates for your visit so that when the booking window opens up, you're ready! At this time, we don't know when those dates will be available. You'll want to keep an eye on official Disney social media accounts, the
Disney Resorts Collection hotel website, and the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest information and news.
Have you decided which Disney Resorts Collection hotel you'll want to call "home" during your visit? There are so many wonderful Resorts with traditional rooms that sleep up to four or five Guests. However, there are a handful of Resorts that have rooms that can accommodate even more Guests in a single room!
Disney's Art of Animation Resort is home to a type of room called a Family Suite. This room can sleep up to six Guests and features a full bedroom and bathroom separated from the main living space. The main living space includes a sofa bed and a pull-down table bed, as well as a full second bathroom. This is a key feature when everyone's getting ready in the morning!
The
Deluxe Villa Resorts have rooms that are 1-, 2-, and 3-Bedroom Villas. These special types of rooms are incredibly luxurious and include a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, lots of thoughtful storage space, and separate bedrooms for additional privacy. My family loves to stay in a 3-Bedroom Grand Villa at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village because it feels like we've been transported to Africa! Seeing animals graze on the savanna is breathtaking.
Once you know what type of room you're looking for, you'll want to consider location. If you're hoping to be within walking distance of Magic Kingdom Park, you'll love Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Or if you'd prefer being close to EPCOT, book a stay at Disney's Beach Club Resort.
For fun
transportation options, consider Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, which has a Disney Skyliner station steps from your room. Disney's Port Orleans Resort offers a boat that will take you to Disney Springs - how fun!
No matter which Resort you choose, you're sure to enjoy staying in the magic. Perks like complimentary transportation and Early Theme Park Entry are game-changers! If you have any questions about where to stay or what to do or what to eat during your visit, please stop back by planDisney with any other questions you have. I'm here to help!
See you real soon!
