Hi Emily!
Welcome to planDisney! After a year of so many sacrifices, and especially missed vacations, I know many of us are excited to begin traveling again. We could all use a little magic in our lives right about now, and what better place to find it than at the
Most Magical Place on Earth, the Walt Disney World Resort!Emily, right now the demand to travel seems to be very high, and I think part of the difficulty for some Guests in finding rooms is that many dates are already fully booked. Currently,
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, which are traditionally known to be “Value Resorts” are all open and accepting reservations. In the “Moderate Resort” category,
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, and
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground are all also fully open. I’m not sure how long your visit will be, but looking at early November, I do see room availability at several of these resorts.
As you are evaluating your budget and checking prices, know that sometimes the room search will default to a ticket and room package, so if you are seeing a large number, rather than a nightly rate, it may be that you are looking at packages. I would recommend
Disney's All-Star Movies for a magical and budget-friendly option. My kids loved this resort for the larger than life decor and fun food court, and I loved the affordability factor.
There are only three resorts in these categories that have not reopened, Disney’s All-Star Music, Disney’s All-Star Sports, and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort. At this time, Mickey has not released any timeline as to when these three resorts will reopen. When they do, the pricing will be the same or similar to the resorts currently available. We do know that Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is to reopen in early July, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort in late July, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House in late August. I would watch the
Disney Resort Update Page to see if reopening dates are announced for any additional resorts. I also recommend following the
Disney Parks Blog as that is where reopening information is typically announced.
With demand for travel very high, you may want to consider alternate travel dates or hotel options. You may also want to consider
Good Neighbor Hotels and those in the
Disney Springs area for more options and price ranges.
Sending you pixie dust, Emily, that you can find the right resort for you!
