I am booking our family vacation for November 2020 for our granddaughters 5th birthday and I would really like to do something for her that will be very memorable, any suggestions?

    Hi Monica!

I love that you want to make your granddaughter’s birthday memorable. I have a princess at my house, and she recommends a makeover at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique! This extra special experience turns little ones into royal princesses with hair and makeup. Choose from a variety of packages at three different locations. This is a popular experience, so I recommend you make a reservation 180 days in advance.

After her makeover, schedule a special birthday dinner. Cinderella’s Royal Table is the most popular option, where you can dine INSIDE Cinderella Castle! Other great choices would be dinner at 1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot, or Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White. You can even order a special, custom made birthday cake to be delivered to the restaurant in advance. We have had both a pirate cake and a mouse ear cake made for our children.

Instead of a full dinner, what about taking your princess to tea at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort? If your entire party would like to participate, I recommend Afternoon Tea at the Garden View Tea Room, available daily from noon to 4 pm. For something truly special, your birthday girl and a guest could attend Disney’s Perfectly Princess Tea. This royal experience includes a child-friendly menu, a visit from a Disney princess, and a gift package that includes a doll, a princess tiara, a rose and more!

If princesses aren’t her thing, maybe she is a budding zoologist? Check out the Up Close with Rhinos tour at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, or the Caring for Giants tour where she will learn all about elephants!

Is she a Minnie Mouse fan? Minnie’s Seasonal Dining is available for both lunch and dinner at Hollywood & Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Or if she loves to watch Disney Junior, join popular stars of the channel for breakfast at the same location.

I hope one of these ideas inspires you and will suit your granddaughter! She is one lucky girl to be able to celebrate at the Walt Disney World Resort with her family!
