we are booking a family (grandparents & uncle too) cruise and my son will be registered to his uncles cabin. but can his dad and I still be the ones to check in/out of the Oceaneers club? or will his uncle have to do it?

    Ahoy, Eunice!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so glad you came to us to ask your questions about cruising.

When our family cruises, we typically have two staterooms. I am registered to one room with my oldest daughter, while my husband is in the other stateroom with my youngest. We are sure to link the confirmation numbers together by calling Disney Cruise Line reservations at 800-951-3532. This ensures that all adults in your family can check the kids in and out of the Oceaneer Lab and Oceaneer Club. Parents are asked for a "code word" that will need to be given when anyone is checking the kids out of the Lab and Club. Be sure that anyone who you trust to check them out knows this word.

Be aware, however, that whoever the person registered in the room with your son will need to be with him whenever he is disembarking the ship. If you would rather he need to be with you, his uncle and you will need to head to Guest Services to fill out a Minor Authorization Form. Even though my daughter is mine, my husband still need to sign this form in order for me to take her off the ship without him.

I hope this helps with your cruise planning! Please visit us again with more questions before your extended family Disney Cruise Line vacation!

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
