Hello. Booking Disney Wonder out of Miami for December 2014. Our flight that we are planning on booking gets into Miami at 1:05pm. Would that allow us enough time to board the ship by 4pm? Also, could we take a taxi from the airport to the port?

Welcome aboard, Brittany! Won't it be wonderful to leave the cold Wisconsin winter behind and head south this December to enjoy the warm waters of the Caribbean on the Disney Wonder? I'm so excited to hear that you'll be booking this cruise.

The Miami International Airport is only about a 20 minute drive away from the Port of Miami where you'll board the Disney Wonder. So, yes, you could certainly arrive just after 1:00 p.m. and make it to the ship.
I would encourage you, however, if at all possible, to book an earlier flight, possibly even arriving the night before you set sail. I say this because if your flight were delayed for any reason, you could very easily miss the ship altogether, and that would not be fun! Especially since you'll be flying in December from Wisconsin, weather delays could cause big problems for you. My family always prefers to fly in the night before and stay at one of Disney Cruise Line's partner hotels so that we can rest assured that even if our flight is very much delayed, we have plenty of time to get to the ship.

As you book your cruise, chat with the Disney Cruise Line agents about the ground transportation that Disney offers in Miami. They have representatives who meet guests at the airport to take bags and ground transfers to the ship, for an extra cost. It is well worth using Disney's ground transfers, as they take care of all of the details and ensure that your transition from land to sea and back again is seamless. You can also inquire about the partner hotels in Miami, as they offer transfers to the ship too, if you do fly in the night before.

Have fun planning, Brittany, and please stop back and let me know if you have any other questions as you begin planning this magical adventure!
