If booking disney hotel for 1 night, occupancy lists 4 but we are 5 (youngest turns 3 during stay). While he will not be under 3 for rules of allowing infant, he has a developmental delay so will still be in packnplay. Can I still book room for 4?

    Hi Christine,

Welcome back to planDisney! I'm happy to help.

Selecting the right Disney Resorts Collection hotel for your family is, in my opinion, one of the most fun parts of the planning process. My children decide based on which pool they most want to cannonball into, but my husband and I factor in resort theming, proximity to the parks we plan to spend the most time in during our visit, and dining options, too. There are so many fantastic options to choose from, you really can't go wrong. You'll just need to make sure the room can accommodate the number of guests in your travel party.

Although your son might not be taking up space in one of the room's beds, he will need to be accounted for when considering the room's capacity limits. When searching online, you'll need to indicate the number of adults and the ages of each of your children at the time of travel. I reached out to a Cast Member who advised looking for rooms that will sleep 4 adults and one infant. Remember that guests over the age of 10 are considered adults when it comes to booking tickets and accommodations.

I did a test search with a Value Resort room to see how the booking process would work, but since I'm not certain of the ages of your other children I don't want to steer you in the wrong direction. If you're not sure which resort option works best for your family, I'd recommend contacting a Cast Member by phone for additional assistance. They'd be happy to explain all your options and give you a definitive answer based on your particular situation. They'll also be able to note your crib/Pack ‘n Play request on your reservation, too.

When you call be sure to ask about any special offers that match your travel dates. There is currently a discounted offer for fall travel and another discounted option for Disney+ subscribers.

I hope your little one has a wonderful birthday visit to Walt Disney World Resort, and your family makes many magical memories together. Feel free to stop back with any additional planning questions as you prepare for your visit.

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
