Hey, Krysten! Welcome to planDisney.
Making
dining reservations is one of the things I get really excited about when planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort. There are so many wonderful places to choose from! I love trying out new restaurants and going back to old favorites. My wife and I went to
Hollywood & Vine on our honeymoon and so I have fun memories of eating there. Those were the good old days before we had kids when we could enjoy a conversation over dinner without being interrupted a thousand times or having to prevent a sibling fight.
Krysten, when you make a dining reservation, you don't typically have to pay any money upfront. There are a couple of select restaurants (e.g.
Cinderella's Royal Table and
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue) that require a prepayment. Most restaurants, including Hollywood & Vine, don't require this and allow you to
cancel your reservations within 2 hours of the reservation time without incurring a cancelation fee. If you don't show up for your reservation, or cancel within 2 hours of your reservation, you'll be charged a $10 per-person fee (prices are subject to change without notice). However, if you keep your reservation, you'll pay at the end of the meal.
I hope that's helpful, Krysten. Have a truly wonderful trip!
Mike
