I will be booking a cruise and using my Disney Visa card to reserve it. Can I apply Disney Gift Cards to my account balance as I pay off the cruise?

Hi there, Elizabeth, and welcome to planDisney!

I’m thrilled you are getting ready to book a Disney Cruise Line vacation! My Elsa Disney Visa Card has helped me book a lot of Disney Cruises. I love that I earn points I can use for future trips, and the special vacation financing comes in handy when paying the deposit.

Disney Gift Cards can be used for almost everything Disney! Once your deposit is paid, you can pay your balance at your own pace until the final due date. Sign in to your reservation, and click the blue “Make a Payment” text. Select an amount to pay, and a "payment method" menu will open, allowing you to enter your Disney Gift Card information.

If you’re like me and receive a few Disney Gift Cards during the holidays or like to pick them up at the grocery store while doing your weekly shopping, you can combine them on the Disney Gift Card website. Each gift card can have up to a $1000 value. You’ll want to keep all your gift cards until the end of your cruise. If you change your reservation or need to cancel, the money will be refunded to the original gift card.

I know Captain Minnie can’t wait to welcome you aboard. In the meantime, I hope we see you again at planDisney. Happy planning!

Ahoy! Just like Moana, I feel the irresistible call of the sea. I think the best vacation is aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship – thankfully, my family agrees. Whether savoring gelato in Italy, snorkeling in Mexico, or basking in the sea breeze on deck, each destination fills us with memories to last a lifetime. I look forward to helping your family plan a Disney Cruise Line adventure brimming with cherished moments!
