Hi! booking a cruise. I see comments here re: guaranteed room assignments and also where I can select a room online. What is the diff and which is better? Are the rooms sugg online the ones least preferred?I see the same rooms sugg across cruises. thx

    Ahoy Tracee!
Welcome back to the Moms Panel!  Booking a Disney Cruise is an exciting time, and I'm so glad you have stopped by the Moms Panel for help!  I have booked several guaranteed staterooms on my past sailings and have always been pleased with the outcome!  When you book a guaranteed stateroom it means that you are booked in the category of your choice for your sailing, but Disney Cruise Line does choose your stateroom location for you.  If you are set on a certain location on the ship then a guaranteed stateroom might not be your best choice.  Depending on which category you book, there is also a slight chance of an upgrade if the category you choose is popular. I have been upgraded before, and it was definitely a wonderful pixie dusted surprise!  If you do book a guaranteed stateroom, assignments aren't usually given out until a few weeks prior to sailing.  It will be a bit of a waiting game, but you will find out before your departure day!
I hope my answer helps with your planning, Tracee!  Please let me know if I can further assist you!  I'm here to help in any way I can!
    Have a magical day!
