Hello Danielle!
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. I'm thrilled to hear about your upcoming stay at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Between its beautiful decor and grounds, proximity to Magic Kingdom Park, and fantastic dining options it's one of my favorite places to stay at Walt Disney World Resort.
Vacation Packages and room reservations typically become available up to a year in advance. Guests were able to make
bookings through October 2025 beginning on February 27, 2024. Last year, we saw 2024 bookings available beginning May 31, 2023. I know not everyone can always plan a vacation that far in advance, myself included since I'm usually waiting on my kid's school and activity schedules. However, some guests do take advantage of bookings more than 6 months out, which is why you might not have been able to secure your preferred room category for your block of rooms.
While it's always possible something will open up if another guest cancels their reservation, unfortunately, I can't guarantee that. You are welcome to have your travel agent continue checking online or call to speak with a Cast Member by phone as you count down to your trip. It also never hurts to inquire about availability when you arrive on-site.
Last year I stayed in a
Disney Vacation Club Resort Studio Standard View room and I enjoyed beautiful views of the resort grounds and pool while sipping my morning coffee each day. I was also pleasantly surprised to see a glimpse of Cinderella Castle in the distance when standing on the very right side of our balcony. While this is not usually the case, it was a special surprise. You may discover that your water-view rooms offer equally stunning views, even if you don't see the castle spires in the distance. Instead, you might enjoy a viewing of the
Electrical Water Pageant sailing right past your room as it travels Seven Seas Lagoon.
I've also found that by the time I get back to my room each evening, I don't spend much time awake outside of showering and hopping into bed. We're always tired from all the fun we've had in the parks to even make our way out onto the balcony or patio. Hopefully, you'll also be climbing into bed fully charged on pixie dust (and a few Mickey-shaped snacks).
Danielle, if we can answer any additional vacation planning questions please don't hesitate to come back and let us know. I'm wishing you a most magical visit this November!
Magic and memories,
Amy
