We are booked at WDW for 6 nights (last week of Aug/first week in Sept) with our 7 and 13 year old sons. I have booked the Aloha dinner show but have seen not great reviews- which do you think is the better show; the hoop dee do review or the aloha?

Without hesitation, Hoop-Dee-Doo. In fact, we enjoy this show so much that we attend on nearly every visit! The food and service are both excellent, and the show is loud and rowdy and lots of fun. I think you and your sons would have a great time at the HDD.

The Spirit of Aloha dinner show, unfortunately, has always disappointed us. We expected to really love it, but the food and service were just 'ok', and the show felt rather long. My daughters were quite bored and restless, and we all felt anxious to leave. We've given it two chances, and decided it's just not our cup of tea.

That said, of course it's only been my experience. You saw the reviews, and they are mixed because some people really enjoy it! You might be one of those people. If you really want to see a luau, then go for it! But if you're feeling skeptical, then I can wholeheartedly recommend the Hoop-Dee-Doo. Bring along an appetite and a sense of humor, and you won't be disappointed!
