Hi, we have booked in to the WDW marathon weekend 5k in Jan. We've seen some of posts on social media about a finish line party but cannot find anything about how to purchase tickets or what's involved with it. Can you please help?

    Hi Peter!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am literally counting down the days to Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend! I can't wait to see the fun runDisney has in store for the 25th Anniversary!

Personally, I like to think of every runDisney finish line as a party! There are sometimes characters out for photo opportunities, music and people celebrating all around! For this specific race though, I think you may have seen some past posts on the Family Reunion Breakfast that has traditionally been offered after the Walt Disney World 5K. This usually includes a breakfast buffet and character meet & greets. In the past it has been hosted in the tent where the Race Retreat is hosted for the Half Marathon and Full Marathon races. At this time, runDisney has not released the Family Reunion Breakfast package for 2018, but a Cast Member from runDisney told me they will be having it again. I'd continue to check back on the runDisney website for them to add the package registration information. Once you are registered, you will pick up a packet for the breakfast at the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo when you pick up your bib.

If this was not what you were referring to please come back and let me know. Otherwise, thanks again for your question and I hope you have a magical race!
