Animals in the Savannah at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge; giraffe

    Hi, we are booked to visit from the uk on the 3rd of May for two weeks. We have chosen to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge and wondered if it would be possible to upgrade our room please? To either a savanna view or partial savanna view room. Many thanks :)

    You've already got a wonderful Disney World vacation plan in place for next year, how fantastic! Spring is such a delightful time to visit. It's when EPCOT features my favorite festival... the International Flower & Garden. I don't know what's more enjoyable, all those fun specialty treats from the food kiosks, or spotting the lovely whimsical topiaries throughout the park. If you've never visited during this time of year before, I can assure you that you're going to love it!

    Animal Kingdom Lodge is also a favorite of mine, and I'm a little jealous that you'll be spending two weeks there. And Hakuna Matata! If you've decided you'd like to upgrade your room type, you should definitely be able to do so with this much advance notice. 

    To make a change to your Disney Resort reservation, you'll need a Cast Member's assistance. Just call the UK free number for Disney Resort Hotel Reservations, and they will be happy to assist with your room upgrade and advising you of the difference in cost. You can also access your reservation by using the Manage My Booking page.

    I think upgrading your room to a savannah view will truly enhance your stay. My kids still talk about the vacation where they could wake up in the morning, and step outside onto our veranda to see live giraffes! It's such a unique and incredible experience.
