    Booked a Value 1BR at the AK, from WD site. The value discription states 4 views (savanna, pool, garden or parking). Called 2 "request" a savanna view and was told that there r are no such rooms. Called again and CM noted on reservation. Any

    Great choice, from the minute you walk into the lobby at the Animal Kingdom Lodge it as if you are in the middle of an African village. The resorts at Disney World offer multiple room types and views. It is my understanding from the times we have stayed at AKL that there are three basic "view" choices at this resort: Savanna view overlooking some portion of the replicated African savanna and the animals that make their home there, water view which overlooks the resort pool area and the standard view which is basically everything else. I would take it that the garden and parking views that you mentioned are most likely part of the standard view.

    Typically an upgrade in your room style or view would also mean an upgrade in price. Often times the rooms with the best views are slightly higher than the value or standard view. Given the fact that you booked a value room at Animal Kingdom resort, I would think that the different information you received on the availability of a savanna view is because it most likely is not offered at the "value" price you reserved under. This does not mean that you may not receive the upgrade and you can certainly request this view on your reservation. Just be aware that it may not be a guarantee and may not be available upon your arrival. If you are not able to obtain a savanna view, don't forget there are many wonderful spots to view the animals from all around the resort including an observation area at the back of the hotel lobby.
